About

Maddy is an advanced dressage rider and British Dressage Accreditied Trainer and has been riding since the age of five. She started competing ponies at local shows in cross-country and show jumping, and then at affiliated show jumping, making the transition onto horses in this discipline. Maddy trained with international show jumpers Di Lampard and Robin Leyland, and competed in show jumping at Foxhunter, B&C Handicap and 1.25M open level including major County shows and Hickstead.

Maddy met Sydney Olympic dressage team member Kirsty Mepham through a friend, and started training with her to improve her flat work to help with the jumping but was "bitten by the dressage bug"! Competing at affiliated dressage "took over", and to date she’s competed at British Dressage premier league shows, the Summer and Winter Regional Finals, the Winter Championships, the Nationals, the National Young Horse Finals at the British Dressage Young Horse and Breeding Championships, and Hickstead CDI. She is now competing at Prix St. George level and working towards Inter I, and trains both with Kirsty, and List 1 and International dressage judge Judy Harvey.
